Eliminate "range component" concept from VisBio

Description (last modified by curtis)

With the next major revision of VisBio, the idea of "range components" should be fully removed, and no mention of them should be made in the online help or other documentation anymore. Instead, multiple range components should be handled completely internally. In other words, there should be no different from the user's perspective whether there are 3 range components, or a dimensional axis labeled "channel" with 3 positions. As such, the confusing "dimensional collapse" transform will no longer be necessary, which should help to streamline the application.

There is a significant amount of retooling that needs to go on under the hood to make this elimination possible. Along with full use of Bio-Formats (tickets #35 and #46), this enhancement should be one of the major goals of a VisBio v4.0 release.
