Bio-Formats introduces the concept of a multi-series dataset to deal with things like mixed stacks, or multiple image series within the same collection of files. VisBio currently ignores this idea and only handles the first series of a given dataset. VisBio should be enhanced to fully support multiple series. As a start, when creating a dataset, the series with which you wish to work should be selectable. But ideally, the dataset would encompass all series, and the program would allow intelligent mapping of each series to its own display. Flexible export of such multi-series datasets should also be straightforward for the user to accomplish.
