Inconsistencies when masking fitted images

Description
When masking pixels from the histogram these hidden pixels turn black in all cases. The value for these pixels on other fitted images is NaN but for the image with the histogram tool from which we are masking the value for these pixels is 0.
This makes it difficult to apply further analysis tools to the masked fitted images.
