Devise a scheme to embed calibration information into the SDT format

Description
As mentioned in tickets #84 and #135, we need to embed calibration information with each dataset. For our new HDF-based format, doing so should not be an issue, but for SDT, we need to devise a reasonable way to store the information, either within the existing SDT structure, or appended to the file somehow.
